Requirements

  • Prior Maritime Operations Center (MOC) experience or equivalent
  • Knowledge of airspace de-confliction and ATO process
Responsibilities
  • Develop plans for Government implementation to achieve customer objectives and support affiliated component units, government organizations, and partner nation missions in the SOUTHCOM AOR
  • Demonstrate and share gained experience with working groups, by identifying areas for future implementation of current and arising innovative uncrewed vehicles and technologies, with the final intent of maximizing autonomous operations in support of Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA)
  • Interface with Government customer and execute logistics planning and contracting actions with subcontractors in support of technical testing, exercises, and operational activities within the SOUTHCOM AOR
  • Coordinate Unmanned Systems (UxS) operations in conjunction with USNAVSOUTH/FOURTHFLT Future Operations (FOPS) directorate to ensure Hybrid Fleet alignment with the commander’s intent
  • Continuously monitor current situation and report any changes to the execution of assigned orders by UxS
  • Coordinate with Current Operations, Future Operations, and Future Plans to plan for potential operations involving UxS
  • Serve as UxS subject matter expert (SME) in Operational Planning Teams (OPT) to identify operational objectives, develop reporting requirements and integrate onto watch floor
Desired Qualifications
  • Proven experience in providing strategic advice, technical guidance, analysis and recommendations for aircraft and uncrewed vehicle mission and program challenges
  • 10+ years of experience in logistics in support of the US government
  • 2+ years of experience supporting planning and operations in the SOUTHCOM AOR
  • Knowledge of water space management
  • Knowledge of the six-step Navy planning process (NPP) or equivalent
  • Completion of Military/JPME I or equivalent
  • Prior Operational Level of War experience or equivalent
