Requirements
  • At least 15 years of experience in Information Technology and/or security systems, including extensive management experience in corporate or hyperscale data center environments.
  • Experience setting strategy and roadmaps while personally engaging in configuration, troubleshooting, data analysis, and incident leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Provide operational direction and oversight for data center security initiatives, service reliability, scalability, and compliance.
  • Own physical security systems, including access control, video management, intrusion detection, biometrics, key management, and their integrations with enterprise information technology.
  • Manage the Data Center Security Systems Support Team, including sourcing, onboarding, and performance of contracted staff; set and report on service-level agreements, objectives and key results, and service-quality key performance indicators.
  • Provide project and program management for greenfield and brownfield deployments, including design reviews, risk assessments, change management, and cutover planning.
  • Mentor and develop team members; establish runbooks, standard operating procedures, and knowledge bases; drive automation, security-by-design, and continuous improvement.
  • Deliver operational metrics, service-ticket analytics, root-cause analyses, and executive-ready reporting.
  • Forecast requirements, manage budgets, analyze variances, initiate corrective actions, and oversee vendor invoicing and payment schedules.
  • Partner with Data Center Operations, Network, Identity, Legal, Compliance, Audit, and Procurement teams to ensure service quality and compliance.
  • Configure and optimize Lenel OnGuard, Milestone VMS, and AXIS cameras; drive standardization, hardening, and high availability across sites.
  • Lead identity and access integrations for role-based access, privileged access controls, and lifecycle automation; enforce least-privilege and zero-trust principles.
  • Oversee VLAN design, segmentation and microsegmentation, firewall policies, VPN, quality of service, multicast, and WAN/software-defined wide area network resilience.
  • Implement observability and health monitoring using dashboards, metrics, logs, and traces; integrate with SIEM/SOAR for alerting, correlation, and incident workflows.
  • Drive automation for provisioning, configuration, and compliance using Infrastructure-as-Code and scripting; maintain version-controlled configurations and continuous integration/continuous delivery change processes.
  • Lead system hardening, patch and upgrade programs, certificate and key management, and backup and disaster recovery for access control, video management, and intrusion detection infrastructure.
  • Provide advanced technical support and escalation for Lenel and Milestone programming, API integrations, software development kit use, and custom workflows in Security Operations Centers.
  • Ensure physical security control effectiveness and audit readiness; coordinate evidence collection and control mapping.
  • Maintain policies, standards, and procedures; conduct control testing, gap assessments, and corrective action plans.
  • Integrate physical security event data into enterprise SIEM; support threat detection, incident response, post-incident reviews, and false-positive reduction.
  • Ensure data protection for video and access-control records through retention policies, encryption, secure storage, and privacy-by-design.
  • Run Alarm Reduction and System Health programs; set service-level objectives and error budgets; execute resilience testing and disaster-recovery exercises.
  • Oversee lifecycle management for controllers, cameras, sensors, servers, operating systems, and databases, including standard images, golden configurations, and compatibility matrices.
  • Manage third-party service providers and systems integrators, including scopes of work, quality standards, service-level agreements, performance reviews, and safety and compliance.
  • Lead design and commissioning for new builds, including requirements, drawings and specifications, factory and site acceptance testing, as-builts, and turnover to operations.
  • Perform additional functions as directed by the Vice President of Global Data Center Operations and Systems to meet business objectives.
  • Lead collaborative cross-functional teams using Information Technology Infrastructure Library service management, change control, data-driven continuous improvement, standardized runbooks, and automation.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with configuration management, Infrastructure-as-Code, and CMDB/ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow is a plus.
