Requirements
  • Native or near-native German at C2 level, spoken and written, with confidence leading client calls and presenting performance in German.
  • Fluent professional English for collaboration with the team.
  • Proven hands-on Google Ads experience across Search, Performance Max, and Display in a business-to-business lead-generation context.
  • Genuine local keyword research capability for German-speaking markets using in-market tools, search behavior knowledge, and professional judgment rather than machine translation.
  • Strong ability to analyze German-language search-term and keyword data to drive optimizations, negative-keyword strategy, and match-type decisions.
  • Sound conversion-tracking and measurement practice, including Google Analytics 4, European Union consent requirements, and General Data Protection Regulation-compliant tracking setups.
  • Comfort using Google Ads Editor, Google Analytics 4, and Looker Studio or equivalent reporting tools.
  • Ability to build an EMEA paid-media strategy from first principles, including targeting, account structure, bidding, and messaging.
  • Ability to challenge or adapt global playbook tactics when they do not suit local market norms, competitive dynamics, or the client's brand-risk tolerance, and explain the reasoning clearly.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with clients in writing and in strategic conversations.
  • Comfort collaborating asynchronously across time zones with an English-speaking team.
  • Four to five years of paid-media experience, ideally agency-side, with experience managing international or multi-market campaigns.
  • Experience in a client-facing role with regular client communication.
  • Track record with multinational or business-to-business clients where German-speaking or wider EMEA markets were a core target region.
  • Reliable overlap with United Kingdom business hours and some overlap with United States Eastern Time for internal calls.
Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end strategy, build, and optimization of Google Ads across EMEA, including Search, Performance Max, and Display, while considering additional channels where appropriate.
  • Join regular calls and reporting sessions and provide written updates in German.
  • Write, adapt, and test German ad copy that maintains brand tone and reads natively.
  • Build campaign structures across multiple EMEA markets, languages, currencies, and time zones, and maintain sensible budget pacing.
  • Brief and coordinate separately contracted native French and Italian localization support.
  • Contribute to landing-page and localization decisions alongside the search-engine-optimization team, including market-appropriate messaging and hreflang and localized-page considerations.
  • Produce regional reporting for the client that integrates into the global pay-per-click reporting framework.
  • Partner with United States and Asia-Pacific strategists to share learnings in both directions.
  • Own the client's day-to-day paid-media strategy and campaign management as the primary day-to-day contact.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in business-to-business manufacturing.
  • Experience working alongside an in-house or agency search-engine-optimization team.
  • Familiarity with paid channels beyond Google in EMEA, including LinkedIn, Bing, and local platforms.
