Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in business, statistics, or another related field is required.
  • Three years of experience in analytics with some supervisory duties is required.
  • Direct knowledge and experience in data modeling, data warehousing, and reporting are required.
  • Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with a cloud data warehouse are required; Snowflake experience is required.
  • Experience building and visualizing reports in Power BI or a comparable tool is required.
  • Project management experience for complex projects is required.
  • Demonstrated organizational, critical thinking, interpersonal, planning, problem-solving, and business analytical skills are required.
  • The ability to work at a high functional and technical level is required.
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain the business intelligence infrastructure, including the Snowflake cloud data warehouse, data models, visual style guides, and pipelines that move and transform source-system data into analytics-ready tables.
  • Design and operate modern data pipelines, including ingestion from operational systems and transformation logic for reporting and analysis.
  • Produce data collection methods, such as surveys and tests, and develop tools and processes to support analyses.
  • Generate summary and specified dashboard accounts that represent operational data in a brief and intelligible format for executive leadership, department managers and supervisors, and other analysts.
  • Provide business data trend information to support recommendations for action and collaborate with management on best practices, statistical measures, and benchmarking.
  • Carry out quality assessments of data, data reports, and accompanying decisions.
  • Analyze findings and offer action-driven recommendations and insights to executive leaders and managers based on results.
  • Provide recommendations for decisions affecting business operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Train non-technical stakeholders on the use of reporting tools and concepts.
  • Devise policies and methods for data governance standards covering internal data and vendor relationships.
  • Lead staff or student workers as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with dbt for data transformation and modeling.
  • Experience with Airbyte or a similar data integration or ingestion platform.
  • Familiarity with version control using Git and analytics engineering practices.
