  • 15+ years of progressive hardware experience
  • 5+ years leading multiple disciplinary teams preferably in mechanical engineering and electrical engineering
  • Expertise in selecting and commercializing sensor technology including computer vision a plus
  • Track record of new product launches and implementations
  • Experience supporting and interacting with C Level Staff
  • Experience leading in a hybrid software/hardware company
  • Experience managing a globally distributed team is a nice to have
Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and guide the Hardware engineering teams in close partnership with Operations and Business leaders
  • Manage engineering execution to ensure continuous improvement of our systems
  • Act as the technical authority for our Hardware; balancing design, risks, budget, and schedule with product, system engineering, and manufacturing teams
  • Prioritize and evaluate the work generated by our team in order to ensure effective and on time delivery of our products
  • Design, implement, and monitor all operations and key performance metrics/operational efficiency for the Hardware team
  • Create structured and concise documentation, including partner-ready presentations, process flows, root cause analyses, status reports, and other materials
  • Acquire deep understanding of Markforged’s business needs
  • Coach team members to achieve outsize results through career, skill and personal development
  • Provide engineering leadership and mentoring to coordinate design, analysis, and systems engineering processes throughout development, verification, delivery and operation
  • Drive new technology efforts in intelligent systems that will drive customer value and ease of use
