Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least six months of experience with inventory, stocking, or supply distribution is required.
  • Persons must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
  • The position requires a criminal background check and substance abuse testing before employment.
Responsibilities
  • Accurately order and completely fill par levels of medical/surgical supplies in automated supply cabinets and manually controlled bulk par rooms.
  • Check par areas daily and as assigned, break down pallets, deliver supplies on carts, refill central supply inventory locations, and adjust inventory counts.
  • Count, manage, and place replenishment orders as needed.
  • Rotate supplies into sterile and non-sterile areas on shelves, specialty carts, and floors using the first-in, first-out basis when restocking; check supplies daily for package integrity and expiration dates and remove damaged or outdated supplies.
  • Perform cycle counts and correct counts daily and as needed to ensure accurate inventory counts.
  • Maintain cabinets and carts in assigned areas in a neat and orderly condition; organize shelves, bins, and labels; keep supply areas clean; follow through on needed repairs; and remove unauthorized, excessive, damaged, or outdated supplies.
  • Staff the Central Supply dispatch window and tube systems as assigned; issue and record supplies sent via pickup, delivery, or tube system.
  • Issue procedural trays and carts and record their issuance.
  • Deliver Isolation carts after hours.
