Requirements
  • A high school diploma.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a customer-service-related job.
  • A valid driver's license without major violations.
  • Flexibility to work after hours and weekends as needed.
  • Flexibility to work through paid lunches on a consistent basis unless advance arrangements are made in accordance with division or department policies.
  • Current certification as a Virginia unarmed security officer/courier (DCJS), or the ability to obtain certification within 60 days of the start or transfer date.
  • Strong problem-solving, time-management, communication, oral and written communication, active listening, and organizational skills.
  • The ability to establish strong working relationships in a team setting.
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize tasks with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • The ability to stand for long periods; walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, twist, and reach.
  • The ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds.
  • The ability to perform continuous repetitive motions and work indoors and outdoors under variable temperature and noise conditions, including around fumes, hazards, dust, mites, chemicals, and biohazards.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the front desk at the office building lobby on a daily basis.
  • Control access for guests, tenants, and vendors.
  • Provide elevator and door assistance to guests.
  • Provide customer service and assistance to clients, customers, and visitors.
  • Complete daily activity, access-control, and incident reports.
  • Observe and report safety concerns.
  • Patrol common areas.
  • Open, manage, and close the facility as part of the day-to-day facility operations.
  • Ensure facility safety and security for guests and employees by reviewing maintenance checklists and conducting periodic safety audits as directed by the company's Safety Manual.
  • Resolve customer concerns escalated by the facility's front-line associates.
  • Complete incident forms and conduct incident investigations as directed by the Senior Operations Manager or Corporate Office.
  • Use necessary software applications to record and track work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
