Job Description:
Responsible for advanced administrative functions in connection with appointment of SelectHealth agents and agencies. Supports the Broker Relations Director in all aspects of maintenance and communication related to the company’s broker sales force.Job Essentials
1. Collects and maintains all documentation required to appoint new agents and agencies.
2. Responsible to ensure the accuracy of agent Errors and Omissions (E&O) coverage, licenses, and contracts.
3. Manages agent transfers, terminations, and reactivations in accordance with established policies and process.
4. Processes Agent of Record (AOR) letters and Letters of Authorization (LOA). Creates and distributes memos to Commission and other related departments to document and implement changes.
5. Ensures accuracy of agent and agency master database, agent files, and other agent demographic information.
6. Assists with the planning and arrangements for statewide and regional broker seminars, Broker Advisory Council meetings, and broker relations events. Facilitates broker communications and notifications. Prepares documentation required to obtain Utah Insurance Department (UID) approval for Continuing Education (CE) credit for eligible presentations. Compiles and submits Certificate of Completion forms to UID.
7. Works closely with the LE Sales, SE Sales, Individual Sales and Commissions departments to answer questions and resolve issues associated with agents and agencies.
8. Serves as a liaison with administrative personnel in agent and agency offices, providing customer service and support in resolving issues of concern.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years experience as a level I Broker Relations Appointment Specialist; OR four years experience in health insurance, two of which are in a Broker Relations position. Advanced proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, database, and PC applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, communication, or marketing obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.

Excellent time management skills, the ability to work under pressure with deadlines, and to handle duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision.

In-depth functional knowledge of sales and commissions.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
