Senior Software Engineer - Service Discovery

As a software engineer in the Service Discovery you will create, support, and evolve Roblox infrastructure related to health checks and service discovery. This work will include algorithms related to distributed synchronization and coordination. It will also involve coordination with other service architecture elements such as orchestration and load balancing.

The Infra Compute organization oversees:

Container orchestration and cluster management
Service-to-service communication and networking (including Service Mesh and the API Gateway)
Scheduling, provisioning, and management of the growing Roblox machine fleet

Come help us create, support and evolve the infra that manages the millions of containers that serve hundreds of millions of requests per second.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

Annual Salary Range

$218,540—$283,780 USD
