The Operations Technician. will demonstrate technical expertise and analyze data to find solutions for technical or operational problems. This role will ensure our facility equipment is maintained and pipeline operations are successful. Troubleshooting, problem solving skills and accurate record-keeping are a must, while maintaining safety as a top priority!

Responsibilities/Expectations:
Schedules and performs yearly engine emissions testing for all RMM compression assets (leased and owned) per NSPS JJJJ requirements, including pre-tests and tuning
Conducts quarterly portable analyzer tests using a portable flue gas analyzer on each engine’s exhaust to ensure compliance with NOx and CO emission limits
Assists emission contract companies with on-site activities, including LC permitting, testing, and record keeping
Monitors permit-required parameters for each engine with an oxidation catalyst and performs maintenance to ensure compliance
Coordinates catalyst replacements, refurbishing, and cleaning with vendors and COMs
Performs engine stack pretesting per 40 CFR 60, Subpart JJJJ requirements and assists with NSPS JJJJ testing
Maintains records of all required monitoring data and supporting information for emissions testing and catalyst changes
Performs baseline and yearly vibration monitoring for pumps, compressors, and motors using Resonance/Windrock
Completes reporting for vibration analysis and collaborates with local RES to troubleshoot equipment
Assists with major unit maintenance (overhauls, swings, etc.)
Supports the implementation of rod packing capture and recovery projects
Monitors rod packing emissions and performs maintenance to ensure compliance with established flowrate ranges
Performs a variety of tasks to safely maintain facility equipment and support pipeline operations, including technical standards and governmental requirements
Carries out moderate to highly sophisticated technical assignments as prescribed by leader, analyzing data to resolve issues
Reads and interprets drawings; drafts operations and maintenance procedures
Follows all of our policies and applies appropriate procedures
Coordinates protection of community, personnel, environment and assets
Oversees general knowledge of site/location/equipment specific permits and compliance
Completes assigned reports, logs and maintains accurate records
Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
Required: High School Diploma/GED; a minimum six (6) years of demonstrated ability as an Operations Technician for similar equipment or facility
Preferred: Associates or 2-year technical degree; a minimum six (6) years of multifaceted operations technician experience within a natural gas processing or compression facility
Physical and Environment Work Requirements:
Must be willing to:
Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
Use hand tools
Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements:
Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arises
May be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays
Other Requirements:
Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
Demonstrates aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes
Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills and proficient/advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers
