Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting manufacturing or industrial software systems, such as supervisory control and data acquisition, LabVIEW applications, C#, or database-driven applications.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to analyze and resolve complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • A solid understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments, including good manufacturing practices, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles.
  • Proficiency in Structured Query Language and database management.
  • Familiarity with software deployment tools, system monitoring, and version control practices.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including Information Technology, Research and Development, Engineering, Quality, and Production.
  • Practical experience with the ISA-95 industry standard related to manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day software development and technical support for manufacturing software systems, including Manufacturing Execution Systems integration, supervisory control and data acquisition platforms, SQL Server databases, and related factory applications.
  • Design, develop, and maintain manufacturing software solutions, including database structures, data pipelines, and application integrations that support digital factory initiatives.
  • Develop system designs and architecture artifacts, such as Unified Modeling Language diagrams, interface specifications, and system documentation, to support software development and system integration.
  • Support continuous software improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance system performance, user experience, data integrity, and operational efficiency across manufacturing platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software-related production issues in a timely manner to minimize manufacturing downtime and ensure continuity of manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate with Research and Development, Engineering, Quality, Information Technology, and Production teams to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions for software and system anomalies.
  • Develop and maintain SQL Server database solutions, including queries, stored procedures, views, and data integrations to support manufacturing operations and analytics.
  • Support software deployments, configuration updates, system integrations, and application enhancements within manufacturing environments.
  • Participate in software validation, verification, and change control processes in regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, system architecture documentation, development standards, and support procedures.
  • Investigate the use of artificial intelligence tools to speed up aspects of the development process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
