- 1-2 years of experience as a software engineer/Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
- Self driven and motivated engineer who takes pride and ownership in navigating through ambiguities and solving complex technical/organizational problems.
- Proficiency in front end web application development using React and Redux
- Comfortable finding their way around back end APIs and models (we use Python, Flask)
- Knowledgeable in web best practices, e.g., browser capabilities, unit and integration testing (we use Webdriver IO, Playwright, Jest, React testing library)
- Comfortable partnering with product managers and designers with an attention to detail
- Great communicator and collaborator
- Great product and design sense

- This position requires either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Work with product and engineering managers to implement business critical features enabling new user experiences across the entire stack (mobile, web, backend).
- Consistently generate simple and elegant designs, and write high-quality code that can be easily understood and leveraged by others.
- Build relationships with people across engineering and other organizations for the design, implementation, roll-out and maintenance of projects.
- Actively participate in making their team and workplace an inclusive environment for people from all backgrounds.
Affirm provides point-of-sale financing solutions as an alternative to traditional credit cards.
