Requirements
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s in Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy, National Security, Engineering or related field.
  • GPA of 3.0 or greater
  • Strong analytical, writing, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Interest in critical infrastructure, defense, national security, government, and legislative affairs
  • Interest in technology and innovation
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
Responsibilities
  • Research and track legislation at the state and federal levels.
  • Summarize relevant Congressional hearings, Executive branch reports, state and local activity, think tank webinars, and industry events.
  • Draft and prepare internal communications on relevant legislation, regulations, and Government Relations activity.
  • Draft preparation materials for company executives, including biographies, agendas and talking points.
  • Research and analysis pertaining to the Parsons Political Action Committee and lobbying disclosure reporting.
  • Support Government Relations team projects, events, and other activities and assignments as needed.
  • Develop valuable skills, network, and gain exposure to Capitol Hill, federal agencies, and state executive and legislative branches.
