Requirements
  • BS in Mechanical engineering required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Ideally 8+ years of related engineering experience including project management and/or leading teams experience
  • Knowledge in project management
  • Knowledge in psychometrics and heat transfer
  • Nice to have exposure to reliability analysis, electrical & electronics knowledge
  • Proven skill to build and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Ability to build effective work relationships internally and externally (customers, suppliers, etc.)
  • Ability to ensure resource availability and allocation and develop a detailed project plan to track progress
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks/projects along with the ability to work in a fast paced team environment in a self-directed manner
  • Skills to foster a collaborative team environment with open communication, identifying problems and establishing resolutions
Responsibilities
  • Lead teams to develop and craft products from Discover, through Develop and Deploy and launch in a timely manner.
  • Partner with Marketing to survey our industry to identify vectors of growth and disruption, and then develop products and technologies that can be applied to address the identified vectors.
  • Lead simultaneous cross-functional teams that launch products by taking market specifications from design to prototype to production.
  • Supervise and direct engineers and designers related to product design activities.
  • Translate customer needs into product specifications.
  • Lead and direct cross functional product development teams.
  • Apply specific technological expertise to specific projects i.e. heat transfer analysis, SS tube bending and welding technologies etc.
  • Coordinate and maintain development schedules.
  • Direct outside activities such as regulatory or other third party testing.
  • Establish test specifications and protocols.
  • Assist in the development of product roadmaps.
