Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Six years of related experience are required.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact for one or more departments.
  • Coordinate problem-solving and training for customers regarding tracking, payment issues, and general expense questions.
  • Communicate policies and procedures to assigned units or departments.
  • Research policies, practices, and atypical transactions and make recommendations as needed.
  • Coordinate specialized or complex tasks for one or more units as assigned.
  • Review financial transactions for compliance.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for certain types of university financial transactions as assigned.
  • Provide customer service.
  • Prepare, allocate, and coordinate documentation for purchasing documents, including vouchers, payment cards, and vendors, while analyzing account activity.
  • Enter and review non-routine travel expense reports.
  • Enter documentation for contracts, receipts, and invoices in the appropriate system.
  • Review documents for mathematical accuracy, proper coding, compliance, and approval.
  • Assign commodity or account codes to requisitions and invoices.
  • Meet established processing goals.
  • Prepare and update non-standard reports and assist with complex reports.
  • Assist with account verification or reconciliation and research discrepancies.
  • Assist with gathering transaction data and information.
  • Enter payment and enclosure distribution.
  • Support and shadow strategic partners as assigned.
  • Draft and update internal job aids.
  • Supervise student workers as assigned.
  • Serve as a liaison between assigned departments and the Division of Finance to facilitate communication and resolve routine financial inquiries.
  • Participate on departmental, divisional, and university committees, workgroups, or task forces as assigned.
  • Attend staff meetings for assigned departments.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Prior financial experience with the Texas A&M University System.
