Requirements
  • B.S. Degree in software engineering, electrical engineers, computer science, or related field. MS preferred.
  • 7+ years of industry experience.
  • Able to take a testplan and architecture and design and release the test software.
  • Experience with Python, GUIs and databases.
  • Experience with working directly with hardware.
  • Experience of other programming languages (C++, C#) is a plus.
  • Experience in creating documentation needed to support the design and use of test software.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functional areas (FW, digital design, IC design).
  • Excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and FPGA engineers to define and document testing requirements for evaluation boards and system boards.
  • Define, document, and implement automated test scripts for validation testing of hardware and regression testing of new firmware and FPGA releases in a continuous integration pipeline.
  • Define hardware-in-loop tests to stress test the system for performance and reliability.
  • Create specialized tools that enable integration testing, validating that the system functions correctly under a range operational conditions.
  • Develop the necessary GUIs and databases needed for the test software.
  • Maintain and support the test software.
  • Write documentation for the test software: requirements, specifications and manuals
