  • BA/BS in engineering, business, or a related degree
  • 10+ years in product marketing, product management, or technical sales
  • 3-5+ years management experience desired. Experience building and leading a team of product and technical marketing professionals
  • Experience in competitive marketing
  • Working knowledge of key SaaS applications, data center and cloud technologies, and enterprise security considerations
  • Stellar written and verbal communication, with experience simplifying concepts and influencing stakeholders, and impeccable attention to detail
  • Experience working closely with software development processes, familiarity with developer teams, and/or experience with technical B2B SaaS products
  • Ability to balance and prioritize competing opportunities, customer needs, and business priorities
Responsibilities
  • Build Glean’s Competitive Intelligence Marketing function and processes from scratch, first acting as an individual contributor and eventually growing the function as required
  • Segment Glean’s competitors into multiple tiers and provide up-to-date research and competitive intelligence on these competitors
  • Translate competitive intelligence into competitive strategy, and execute field programs to effectively engage and win vs. competitors
  • Create and execute a bi-directional competitive dialogue with the Sales organization, working to train the field on competitive information and strategies, as well as collect up-to-date competitive information from the field
  • Produce 'day 0' competitive responses on major news announcement days from competitors
  • Engage in competitive research, including directly hands-on evaluation of competitive products where appropriate, competitive pricing research, and competitive field sales tactics
  • Devise and execute an outbound competitive strategy, effectively educating the market on Glean’s advantages vs. competitors
  • Work closely with the Product Management, Product Marketing, Field Enablement, and Solutions Engineering functions at Glean
