Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years' network administration experience with cybersecurity knowledge.
  • Preferred Certifications: CompTIA Network+, CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, CISM, GSEC, CompTIA Security+.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Proficient in networking principles, protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and technologies.
  • Thorough understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work well independently, manage multiple technology issues and prioritize deadlines.
Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, and optimize network components such as routers, switches, and access points for optimal communication.
  • Monitor network performance, traffic, and bandwidth to maintain optimal operation.
  • Establish security baselines, configure, manage and monitor security devices and systems.
  • Administer user accounts, roles, and access controls to ensure appropriate access to resources.
  • Diagnose connectivity issues, hardware failures, and configuration errors.
  • Keep network infrastructure current through regular updates and maintenance.
  • Implement strategies for network data backup and swift recovery.
  • Maintain accurate records of network and security configurations and procedures.
  • Coordinate and maintain vendor relationships for network and security equipment and services.
  • Ensure network conformity with organizational policies and regulations.
  • Assess vulnerabilities and address security weaknesses.
  • Develop and execute incident response plans to mitigate incidents.
  • Analyze security data, identify trends, and assess risks.
  • Establish, enforce, and update security policies and procedures.
  • Provide cybersecurity training and conduct assessments.
  • Mentor and train members in Technology team on Networking / Security.
  • Stay informed about evolving threats and adapt security strategies.
  • Undertake additional assignments as needed, potentially involving travel.
