Requirements
  • Must be equivalent to Navy Second Class Swimmer qualified.
  • Former Navy Electrician or Electronics Technician with Improved Navy Lighterage System (INLS) experience is ideal.
  • Must have minimum six (6) years Navy EM /ET rating or equivalent civilian experience.
  • Experience with 460 and 115 Vac distribution systems, 24 Vdc, diesel engine electronic control systems and programmable logic controllers would be very beneficial.
  • Must support company Ethics Program, Workplace Environment, Occupational Safety policies.
  • Must be willing to complete and submit required documents for Base Access approval.
Responsibilities
  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Performing pre-start and post-operation checks.
  • Propulsion systems operation and casualty control in-port and underway on small INLS/OPDS Navy watercraft.
