- An active, unrestricted license as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech-Language Pathologist, Physical Therapist Assistant, or Occupational Therapy Assistant is required.
- At least 5 years of clinical and/or compliance experience within therapy services is required, including exposure to skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and/or hospital-based therapy programs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of post-acute care regulations, including the Patient-Driven Payment Model, Medicare Part A and Part B, and therapy service delivery models across multiple settings is required.
- Working knowledge of hospital-based compliance standards, acute-care documentation expectations, interdisciplinary coordination, and regulatory requirements is required.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, and therapy billing and coding practices is required.
- Oversee healthcare compliance programs and regulatory adherence across therapy operations.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, state, payer, and other applicable healthcare requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance program aligned with healthcare regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular internal audits, risk assessments, compliance reviews, and investigations across clinical and operational functions.
- Implement corrective action plans when compliance concerns are identified.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and external auditors.
- Develop and deliver ongoing compliance training and education for staff and leadership.
- Establish and maintain policies and procedures supporting ethical and compliant business practices.
- Oversee documentation standards, billing practices, and coding accuracy to minimize risk and ensure proper reimbursement.
- Track, analyze, and report compliance metrics and trends to executive leadership.
- Stay current on healthcare regulatory changes and proactively update company practices.
- Provide guidance and education to staff regarding compliance standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with leadership on compliance, operational, and human resources functions.
- Perform administrative duties related to compliance oversight and daily operations.
- Support compliance systems, reporting, and operational processes using technical skills.
- An active Indiana license as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, or Occupational Therapy Assistant, or equivalent healthcare compliance experience.
- Knowledge of human resources practices and healthcare operations.
- Experience with audits, investigations, and regulatory reporting across multi-site or multi-state organizations.
- Certification in Healthcare Compliance.
