Requirements
  • Applicants must hold or be eligible for licensure as a neurosurgeon in the province of Quebec
  • Applicants must have advanced training and the demonstrated capacity to excel in academic neurosurgery, including specialized clinical expertise in neurotrauma, strong medical education skills, and a well-defined research program
  • Clinician-Scientists with MD-PhD or equivalent research-intensive training are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in all areas
  • Bilingual language skills (French and English) are preferred, or a commitment to acquire the necessary language skills to practice medicine in Quebec. Candidates should be able to interact in English and in French with patients, families and health care professionals.
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to a strong interdisciplinary clinical and research program in trauma neurosurgery at McGill University
  • Be actively involved in all aspects of McGill’s academic mission (teaching, research, supervision of graduate students, and involvement in academic and administrative committees)
  • Provide excellent clinical teaching and supervision to diverse residents and medical students
  • Pursue scholarly activities in advancing clinical care or clinical research in neurotrauma
  • Contribute to service activities within their units, the University, and the wider scholarly community.
Desired Qualifications
