  • Human research experience involving the application of biostatistics, psychophysical and neuromodulatory methods to assess and target pain is required.
  • Skills in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data.
  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
  • Ability to work well with members of the research team.
  • Ability to communicate well with research participants.
Responsibilities
  • Conducts research on specific areas of chronic pain studies as assigned.
  • Analyzes study data and summarizes results.
  • Prepares research reports and technical papers for conference presentations and publishing in scientific journals.
  • Applies a wide variety of scientific principles and theories.
  • Maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories in pain research.
  • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
  • The postdoctoral associate will conduct verbal and psychophysical pain assessments, non-invasive brain stimulation, and visual illusions.
  • The postdoctoral associate will manage and analyze data, present, and publish results.
  • The postdoctoral associate will communicate and interact well within the pain research group and with Miami Project faculty, staff, administrators and research participants.
