Requirements
  • Five to fifteen years of experience in project management, construction, and commissioning.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 16 years of experience in the applicable job family or function.
  • Ability to work up to 100% travel in diverse, multicultural environments.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Ability to complete a drug screen, as applicable.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee site activities related to the installation and commissioning of Heat Recovery Steam Generators and associated equipment.
  • Assist the erector in installing HRSG components, including piping and auxiliary systems, in compliance with design specifications.
  • Interpret sketches and drawings for construction and ensure installation of pressure parts, equipment, modules, and piping according to requirements and installation sequence.
  • Review HRSG installation method statements to ensure they are prepared safely and effectively.
  • Report commercial and technical deviations using quality records and non-conformance reports, and follow up until resolution.
  • Ensure subcontractors and partners provide Inspection Test Plans, reports, and quality documentation for system turnover certification.
  • Support resolution of technical issues with engineering by submitting Engineering Request cases for site installation clarification.
  • Review Welding Procedure Specifications and welder qualifications before welding activities begin.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols for heavy lifting during HRSG component installation.
  • Review lifting plans proposed by installation companies, considering site constraints and conditions.
  • Ensure HRSG piping installation and testing comply with project specifications.
  • Oversee HRSG hydrotests and ensure post-hydrotest preservation measures are implemented.
  • Validate cleaning methodologies, chemical cleaning processes, and safety valve settings against specifications.
  • Ensure disposal of test media and other waste complies with local environmental standards.
  • Identify and resolve site interferences during installation and testing across disciplines.
  • Issue progress reports to the Construction Manager, Site Manager, and installation leader.
  • Prepare and execute HRSG tests, performance tests, and reliability runs.
  • Use Process and Instrumentation Diagrams for system checks.
  • Support the setting and testing of instrumentation and logical checks, including pressure and temperature transmitters, vibration detectors, and position switches.

Two energy stocks benefit from data center power crunch driven by AI demand

Constellation Energy and GE Vernova are capitalising on surging electricity demand from AI data centres, which require massive amounts of reliable power. Constellation Energy operates the largest nuclear power fleet in the US, providing carbon-free, continuous electricity. The company signed a 20-year power purchase agreement with Microsoft to supply energy from the restarted Three Mile Island facility in Pennsylvania. SHINE joins GE Vernova ARPA-E project to modernise nuclear fuel recycling accountability with AI

SHINE is joining a GE Vernova-led project funded by the Department of Energy's Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy to develop modernised nuclear material tracking systems for fuel recycling facilities. GE Vernova's wind orders plunge 40% as AI-driven gas turbine boom masks segment's struggles

GE Vernova reported strong second-quarter results with revenue rising 22% year-over-year to $11.1 billion, surpassing analyst estimates by $330 million.
