Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with Massachusetts Civil P.E. license
  • 6-12 years’ experience in site development, entitlement, environmental permitting (municipal, state, federal), and solar PV or energy storage experience
  • Experience in cost estimation, site visits, reviewing engineering services contracts, and managing subconsultants
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D and HYDROCAD (or equivalent design tools) proficiency
  • Ability to communicate design concepts and lead meetings between clients, engineers, regulatory officials, and consultants
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while being highly motivated, detailed, and organized
  • Advanced understanding and commitment to the New Leaf Value Stream Map
Responsibilities
  • Site review, zoning/bylaws review, and outlining entitlement path
  • Managing survey, environmental, and engineering sub-consultants as well as working with staff engineers
  • Working with state agencies, towns, and other stakeholders, and presenting to planning/zoning boards, state, and federal agencies
  • Assisting in the continued development of standard details, notes, and specifications
  • Reviewing design drawings prepared by in-house or external designers
