Requirements
  • A doctorate degree, or a master's degree and 2 years of Supply Chain experience, or a bachelor's degree and 4 years of Supply Chain experience, or an associate's degree and 8 years of Supply Chain experience, or a high school diploma or General Educational Development credential and 10 years of Supply Chain experience is required.
  • The role requires compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice, Good Distribution Practice, and Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability requirements.
  • Availability for domestic and international business trips, non-standard shift support, and extended hours is required.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives for Amgen Ohio that lead to warehouse quality processes and apply enterprise-wide programs.
  • Organize, drive, and support the identification and implementation of warehouse systems and processes.
  • Identify, establish, model, and monitor key performance measures to ensure best practices across Amgen sites.
  • Represent the role on cross-functional task forces and teams to develop consistent and integrated practices throughout the organization.
  • Directly or indirectly supervise the activities of staff members or outside consultants and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice, Good Distribution Practice, and Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability requirements.
  • Own or support quality system records, including deviations, change control records, corrective and preventive action, corrective and preventive action effectiveness verification, and standard operating procedures.
  • Act as a risk assessment facilitator or owner.
  • Assess the impact of new requirements, changes, processes, and distribution regulations on the department.
  • Own and lead warehouse change controls and deviation records.
  • Participate in the revision of controlled documents.
  • Represent the warehouse in cross-departmental projects and act as a point of contact for Packaging, Quality Assurance, Planning, and other departments.
  • Track performance on specific key performance indicators and participate in network meetings.
  • Act as delegate for the Senior Manager, Supply Chain.
  • Measure and report key Supply Chain performance measures and drive continuous improvement using Amgen standard tools and methods.
  • Define problem statements, reports, and possible solutions, and present information to warehouse management for follow-up and partner concerns.
  • Develop solutions to departmental and cross-functional business problems through analysis, coordination, and negotiation with key decision-makers.
  • Manage sophisticated and ambiguous issues to identify critical factors for decision-making.
  • Respond to crises and resolve conflicts arising from competing objectives, limited resources, or differing perspectives.
  • Contribute to strategic decisions affecting operations.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions related to deviations.
  • Serve as a role model and mentor and design opportunities for career development.
  • Build cross-functional relationships to develop and garner support for shared programs.
  • Influence partners toward achieving business goals.
Desired Qualifications
  • A background in Quality, Business Administration, Supply Chain and Logistics Management, Manufacturing and Packaging, or Industrial Engineering is preferred.
  • Good understanding of enterprise resource planning systems, SAP, ECC, Warehouse Management, and Extended Warehouse Management is preferred.
  • APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management, Certified Supply Chain Professional, or SCOR-P certification is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of Supply Chain Management experience is preferred.
  • Operational Excellence experience in a regulated industry is preferred.
  • Experience with regulated environments, including current Good Manufacturing Practice, Good Distribution Practice, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements, is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, Skype, and Tableau is preferred.
  • Leadership, team building, change management, organizational, and communication skills are preferred.
  • Experience working in a global environment and collaborating effectively at different management levels is preferred.
  • Availability for international business trips, non-standard shifts, and extended hours is preferred.
  • Knowledge of staff relations and the ability to coach, mentor, and counsel staff when needed is preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic compensation system practices and methodologies is preferred.

Amgen's lung cancer drug tarlatamab has received approval from China's National Medical Products Administration, according to its development partner BeOne Medicines. The drug is a targeted immunotherapy for adults with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer that has progressed despite chemotherapy. Amgen stock up 24% since Jim Cramer's June recommendation, beats earnings estimates

Amgen, one of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies, has seen its shares rise 24% since Jim Cramer discussed the stock on Mad Money in June 2025. The company is currently developing the weight loss drug MariTide. Amgen's shares jumped 7.5% in November 2025 after posting third-quarter results that beat analyst expectations, with $9.6 billion in revenue and $5.64 earnings per share against forecasts of $8.98 billion and $5.04 respectively. In February 2026, shares rose 8% following fourth-quarter earnings that also exceeded estimates. Cramer expressed cautious optimism about the biotech company, noting its mid-single-digit earnings growth and potential upside from its GLP-1 drug development. Whilst calling Eli Lilly his preferred GLP-1 play, Cramer said investors "could do a lot worse than Amgen" for a bargain option.
