Requirements
  • Be a qualified and experienced Non-Medical Prescriber.
  • Have at least one year's relevant and recent experience working within substance misuse treatment.
  • Have sound and demonstrable knowledge of harm reduction and health promotion interventions.
  • Be able to assess service users, create recovery plans, and formulate written reports as necessary.
  • Be able to communicate confidently and effectively, verbally and in writing.
  • Have experience working sensitively with adults who have co-occurring needs, including rough sleeping and significant mental health needs.
  • Be able to work with service users who are rough sleeping or precariously housed.
Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat service users by tailoring care to their needs and prescribing or adjusting opiate and/or alcohol substitute treatments and other related medications in community settings or on the clinical van.
  • Develop the prescribing clinic and act as a go-to expert for colleagues and partner agencies on prescribing matters.
  • Support people on their recovery journey through a compassionate and professional approach that helps service users achieve their goals.
