Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent with additional specialized training equivalent to two years of college, with experience credited in lieu of education.
  • One year of consultative sales experience with a proven record of building member loyalty and expanding financial literacy and well-being.
  • Knowledge of financial institution products and services, including deposit and lending products.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, numerical, detail-orientation, and multitasking abilities.
  • Comfort using technology and teaching others to use digital tools, including Interactive Teller Machines, tablets, and digital banking applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Completion of applicable training and compliance with federal regulations and APGFCU policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work Saturday hours and travel to other branch locations.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver financial education and personalized service to members and communities.
  • Collaborate with teammates to maintain a welcoming, efficient, and secure branch environment.
  • Engage members in the lobby and educate them on options for managing financial transactions through technology and available resources.
  • Assist members with Interactive Teller Machines and digital banking tools through demonstrations and guidance.
  • Assist with Interactive Teller Machine transactions and troubleshooting.
  • Develop consumer and business relationships through follow-up, milestone recognition, and proactive financial wellness support.
  • Open new consumer and business accounts and perform routine maintenance on deposit and loan accounts, certificates of deposit, and individual retirement accounts.
  • Apply product and procedural knowledge to identify, mitigate, and solve member problems while managing risk within established limits.
  • Participate in branch daily operations and ensure accurate and efficient completion of duties.
  • Acquire and deepen the branch member base through proactive sales and service activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve members’ financial well-being and position APGFCU solutions to build member loyalty.
  • Conduct outbound calling, service-to-sales conversations, appointment setting, and lobby engagement using a defined sales process.
  • Conduct needs-based conversations to identify appropriate financial solutions.
  • Work toward measurable goals for shares, loans, payment protection, cross-selling, referrals, and member satisfaction.
  • Recommend workflow improvements and product innovations to enhance service quality or increase revenue.
  • Uncover additional lending needs through credit review, evaluate the branch loan pipeline, and create follow-up proposals for missed opportunities.
  • Compile loan documentation, define requirements, determine accurate payment information, and offer convenient loan-disbursement channels.
  • Review loan denials for possible approval recommendations, communicate denials courteously, and offer alternative solutions and financial education.
  • Partner with branch management on business development activities, including open enrollments, local business visits, and community events.
  • Perform other related duties as required or directed.
