Requirements
  • Degree in finance, accounting or economics.
  • Significant experience working in Investor Relations in a complex, regulated and multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Strong financial literacy and analytical capabilities, with a sound knowledge of valuation and the ability to discuss financial models with analysts.
  • Proven experience and good knowledge of international capital markets.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to manage internal and external stakeholders, cultivating strong relationships with a broad cross section of executives and the Board.
Responsibilities
  • Developing and promoting Pennon’s equity story to attract and retain investors, conveying Pennon’s long-term growth strategy and key ESG credentials.
  • Translating complex financial and strategic information into clear and consistent messaging in all formal reporting, including half year and full year results, trading updates, and ad hoc announcements.
  • Expanding Pennon’s reach through the development and execution of a global investor marketing strategy, appealing to both specialist and generalist investors.
  • Leading all communication with sell-side analysts, building and maintaining strong relationships ensuring key valuation points are clearly reflected in financial models and estimates, and managing an efficient consensus process.
  • Managing the development and execution of corporate activity as required, including and not limited to M&A, special dividend, share consolidation, share buybacks, equity raises, and new debt insurance.
  • Representing the Group through direct engagement with key current and prospective international investors.
  • Ensuring adherence on all disclosures in line with Listing Rules and market abuse regulation (MAR).
  • Providing direct support to the Chair, Group CEO, Group CFO and NEDs as required, in engaging with Pennon’s investors across the breadth of all Pennon strategic, operational and financial activity.
  • Providing high quality communication to the Board across multiple aspects, including market reactions, shareholder movements and media coverage.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive analysis of the share register.
  • Working closely with Pennon’s brokers and financial PR advisers.
  • Developing and maintaining a robust defense strategy.
  • Taking ownership of the Pennon Group website.
