  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience, a master’s degree with 3 years of experience or a PhD with 1 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

  • Proficiency in software testing
  • Experience with any of the following: Containers, Microservices, Kubernetes, Model Based Engineering
  • 5 or more years of proficiency in real-time systems experience.
  • 5 or more years of software architecture experience.
  • 2 years of systems engineering experience.
Responsibilities
  • Support leading the technical solution of a new secure capability for a using program.
  • Interact with customers, program leadership, and peer engineering organizations to understand requirements.
  • Document use cases and create detailed design documentation for junior engineering to implement.
  • Train and lead a team of engineers to implement and deliver capabilities within schedule and cost constraints.
  • Develop and maintain technical design material including that of the secure solution for internal and customer consumption.
  • Provide novel technical solutions to complex problems and unplanned change.
  • Provide accurate and timely updates on risks, technical issues, and progress.
  • Interface with product owners and systems engineers to ensure technical designs meet customer requirements and are feasible within program constraints.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with good Agile (Scrum) team execution and principles
  • Strong C/C++ background, Python background, and some knowledge in JAVA, JVM & RMI.
  • Experience with SW tools: Git, Atlassian suite (BitBucket, Confluence, Jira), Jenkins, static & dynamic code analysis (i.e., SonarQube)
  • Device Driver development
  • Size and speed optimizing software for embedded platforms.
  • Modifying and integrating open-source software
