We are seeking an experienced Staff Analog IC Design Engineer for our High Performance Power development team. This impactful position will be responsible for developing new high performance Silent Switcher step-down converter products in BCD technologies targeted at multi-markets; including industrial, communications, automotive, and high-end consumer markets. Responsibilities will include:
- Transistor-level circuit design and simulation
- Understanding of device-level operation and physics
- System and block level simulation
- Successful integration of blocks into larger mixed-signal systems
- Oversee and support analog IC layout and package design
- Perform hands-on evaluation and troubleshooting of complex integrated circuit problems in the laboratory
- Interface with test, product and applications engineering to successfully bring new products from initial concept through production release
- Helping define new products, including R&D in new ideas, and solving customers’ problems
- Assisting support of customer applications
- Demonstrate ability to communicate with peers, managers, and project stakeholders effectively using both verbal and written communications
Qualifications:
- MSEE 3+ years of relevant industry experience with a strong background in analog design
- Interest and experience with DC/DC power converters
- Strong background in circuit design, power device physics, and semiconductor processing
- Familiar with analog design, simulation and modelling, knowledge of general lab equipment
- Motivated, results oriented and creative problem solver with good writing, presentation, and overall communication skills
- Diligence to work independently and be self-directed
- Enthusiasm to collaborate in a team environment
