Requirements
  • A degree or diploma in a related field is required.
  • At least one year of experience in a human resources role is considered an asset.
  • Hotel operations experience is considered an asset.
  • Ability to support a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to make effective decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with the day-to-day administration and coordination of activities within the Talent & Culture Department, including purchase orders, filing, photocopying, collating, mail, courier, phone and fax tasks, and preparing correspondence, reports, charts, tables, brochures, and other collateral materials.
  • Assist the Talent Acquisition Team, Health & Benefits Advisor, and Learning and Development Manager with administrative duties for their respective areas.
  • Draft correspondence independently for approval by the Director or Assistant Director of Talent & Culture.
  • Maintain a confidential, accurate, and organized filing system for employee personnel documents.
  • Assist the Director and Assistant Director of Talent & Culture in coordinating employee activities and events, including engagement surveys, colleague galas, and recognition events.
  • Welcome colleagues to the Talent & Culture office as the first point of contact.
  • Assist colleagues with general inquiries, including account password resets, identification card creation, and nametag requests.
  • Implement company and brand onboarding procedures for new colleagues.
  • Assist with coordinating company- and brand-specific orientation and training programs.
  • Oversee completion of new-hire, transfer, and departure paperwork and processes.
  • Collect driver's licenses and motor vehicle records, upload them to Fleet Mentor, and keep the system current.
  • Validate employment of former colleagues as required.
  • Communicate, implement, and adhere to Talent & Culture policies and procedures.
  • Oversee data entry and information tracking in Dayforce Systems, including employee action forms, new hires, terminations, status changes, training, benefits, pension, and payroll audit trails.
  • Assist the Director and Assistant Director of Talent & Culture with maintaining data for AccorHotels statistical requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment and participate in health and safety initiatives.
  • Adhere to hotel environmental policies and initiatives.
  • Carry out other assigned tasks.
