Requirements
  • Proven experience in office operations, facilities operations, site operations, or property management leadership role. Customer service experience required
  • Experience in hospitality, multi-unit retail, startups, office management, or related preferred but not required
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred in Business, Project Management, Hospitality, or other related degrees
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, project management, and business operations experience
  • Like challenges, and embraces change in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and compassion
  • Organizational skills coupled with attention to detail and follow-up
  • Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended time able to take a hands-on approach to work (move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance)
  • Office Mode: This role is designated as 'Office Mode,' and requires the employee to work from our office daily, due to regulatory or functional requirements. As such, providing proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required
Responsibilities
  • Front desk coverage, keeping the area presentable and representative of Better's brand guidelines while executing regular reception duties
  • Guest registration in building and company security systems and greeting at reception
  • Respond to both office phone, workplace emails, and tickets-redirecting and/or escalating to the appropriate teams as applicable
  • Daily mail and deliveries, keeping mail log up-to-date
  • Mail administrative support, including scanning, logging, and filing mail for remote employees in HR, Finance, and other essential functions
  • Overseeing daily lunch distribution to employees, operating lunch pick up stations, messaging, and ensuring satisfaction
  • Booking conference and meeting rooms, ensuring compliance to office policies and procedures
  • Provide support for office events such as team offsites, ERG events, etc
  • Support move-in and move-out operations including final close out of the construction project
  • Support and execute special projects assigned by Workplace Manager, related to workplace service
  • Depending on shift scheduling, you will be expected to open and/or close the office in adherence to the standard workplace and event procedures
  • Most importantly, developing deep knowledge of our employees and their team's needs, to continue to build out our community
