Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in freight brokerage with ability to bring your current book of business
  • Proven track record of managing and growing a book of business, with an established client base in logistics or freight brokerage
  • Availability: Willing and able to be on call as required to address urgent client needs or issues

Responsibilities
  • Bring over and expand an established book of business by networking, researching, and prospecting for new opportunities within your existing book of business.
  • Strengthen relationships with current clients by understanding their business, transportation needs, and product requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, carriers, shippers, and receivers to ensure seamless freight operations and timely deliveries.
  • Monitor load progress and proactively resolve any in-transit issues (e.g., weather delays, traffic, etc.) to ensure on-time delivery while managing costs.
  • Ensure that client expectations are met and exceeded, providing ongoing support to build long-term relationships.
  • Continuously assess the evolving needs of your clients and look for opportunities to add value, whether through improved logistics processes, cost savings, or new services.
  • Use your existing network and industry expertise to identify new business opportunities, both within your current client base and through new prospects.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required to ensure the success of your portfolio and department.
