Software Engineering Manager

Role Summary

This role leads and mentors a software development team, driving performance through regular one-on-ones, career growth strategies, and adherence to corporate policies. It ensures high-quality, testable code and up-to-date documentation while providing architectural guidance aligned with best practices and agile methodologies. The position collaborates closely with product, technical, and corporate teams to translate stakeholder requirements into effective solutions and to shape technical roadmaps. Candidates should bring extensive software engineering experience, leadership background, and expertise in AWS, search databases, and data architecture, with additional skills in digital marketing platforms and Akamai CDN considered advantageous.

Your Day to Day

• Lead and mentor the development team through regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and career growth discussions.
• Establish and enforce development standards, best practices, and high-quality, testable code structures.
• Provide architectural and design guidance to support project initiatives and maintain up-to-date documentation.
• Collaborate with product, technical teams, and vendors to translate stakeholder requirements into effective solutions.
• Promote agile methodologies and a culture of continuous improvement across the team.

What We Need From You

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Prior experience as a development manager or lead developer.
• Experience with implementing search databases (ElasticSearch or OpenSearch is a big plus).
• Experience building applications in AWS managed services.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and general data architecture.
• Experience with digital marketing and/or e-commerce platforms is a plus.
• Experience with Akamai CDN is a plus.
• Experience with GraphQL APIs is a plus.

Location – Atlanta GA (Hybrid 3 days a week in office)

The salary range for this role is $58,834 to $160,000. This role is also eligible for bonus pay (as applicable). We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K, and other benefits to employee.
