Requirements
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience as a Solutions or Systems Engineer, with a proven track record of presenting technical information to business executives or architects.
  • Experience presenting technical information from the technical level through senior executives, including public speaking and presentations to internal and external executive audiences.
  • Ability to work from the whiteboard with security architects and influence CISOs.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and administering Linux, macOS, and Windows-based systems.
  • Proficiency with mobile device technologies, including mobile device management and mobile application management, and Android and iOS operating systems.
  • Knowledge of certificates, key management systems, hardware security modules, and related protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with information security solutions including web proxies, next-generation firewalls, security gateways, remote access, site-to-site virtual private networks, Security Assertion Markup Language, single sign-on, data loss prevention, and data security, including writing regular expressions.
  • Experience with cloud identity providers, System for Cross-domain Identity Management, security information and event management, security orchestration automation and response, endpoint detection and response, and software-defined wide area network deployments and integrations.
  • Experience with Active Directory Services, including Active Directory Federation Services.
  • Experience with public cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Working knowledge of the broader threat landscape and the ability to explain complex technology behaviors in simple terms.
  • Experience working in and selling cloud-based technologies, including software as a service, infrastructure as a service, and platform as a service.
  • A relevant Bachelor's degree.
Responsibilities
  • Exceed sales targets.
  • Articulate the high-level benefits of the company's architecture to senior security management, chief information security officers, and chief information officers.
  • Construct best practices for presentations, demonstrations, proof-of-concept or proof-of-value exercises, and overall win strategy.
  • Support regional customer success and help resolve customer satisfaction issues, escalating cross-functionally when needed.
  • Understand customer needs and establish the company's product as the best solution that addresses the requirement and provides business value.
  • Present the cloud security solution to prospective customers.
  • Create and deliver product demonstrations.
  • Gather customer technical requirements.
  • Work trade shows as necessary.
  • Provide insight into competitive solutions and differentiate between them.
  • Create evaluation test plans with customers and partners and manage the evaluation process to a successful conclusion.
  • Lead proof-of-concepts.
  • Present at conferences and seminars.
  • Respond to requests for information and requests for proposals.
Desired Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Azure Active Directory.
  • Demonstrable experience with scripting languages such as Python and REST API frameworks.
  • Prior experience with other vendor cloud security solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Blue Coat, Symantec, McAfee, Check Point, Cisco, or Juniper security technologies.
  • Security certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge, Certified Cloud Security Professional, Check Point Certified Security Expert, GIAC Certified Firewall Analyst, Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer, Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist—Security, Juniper Networks Certified Internet Professional—Enterprise Routing and Switching, or GIAC Certified Incident Handler.
  • Agile Scrum certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner, Certified ScrumMaster, or Certified Scrum Professional.
  • Project Management Professional certification.
  • Advanced network technology certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional, Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert, Certified Cloud Security Professional, or Juniper Networks Certified Internet Expert.

Netskope launches AI security platform to tackle enterprise data protection gaps

Netskope, a Santa Clara-based cloud security company backed by Accel, launched its Netskope One DataSec Command Center on 5 August. The platform provides organisations with a unified interface to discover, track and protect sensitive data across AI environments, cloud services, SaaS applications, on-premises infrastructure, endpoints and email. The product will become generally available this quarter as part of Netskope One, the company's cloud-native platform comprising over 20 security, networking and analytics products. According to Netskope's 2026 Data Security Report, 98% of organisations use AI, but only 8% consistently enforce data protection policies in AI environments. Additionally, 58% use 11 or more separate data security tools.
