Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field, and 1-3 years of relevant experience in network engineering OR equivalent combination of relevant work experience, skills, and education or training.
  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer, preferably in an internet service provider and/or network operations center (NOC) environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Possess industry-recognized certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CompTIA Network+ to demonstrate proficiency in networking technologies and protocols.
Responsibilities
  • Handle escalated network-related tickets from various WiFi communities, providing timely and effective solutions to ensure minimal downtime. Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
  • Assist in the validation and provisioning of network hardware for new projects and communities. Work closely with project teams to ensure hardware configurations align with network standards and requirements.
  • Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively optimize network configurations for optimal efficiency. Recommend changes and upgrades to improve network reliability and performance.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures. Generate reports on network performance, and incident resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network designers, developers, project managers, and support teams, to address network-related challenges. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates on network-related escalations.
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotation with other team members, including availability on nights and weekends.
