Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of professional experience in power electronics design
  • Expertise in PCB schematic capture and board layout
  • Experience with testing and debugging circuitry
  • Experience with general lab equipment
  • Experience with high voltage (>100V) and high power (>10kW) DC-DC power conversion systems
  • Proficient with circuit simulation tools
  • Experience with environmental testing for space electronics
  • Knowledge of filter design
  • Experience programming in C/C++, Python, or Matlab
Responsibilities
  • Develop power electronics for a novel 20kW Hall thruster
  • Design accurate telemetry and analog circuits
  • Serve as Responsible Engineer for flight hardware
  • Qualify designs through environmental testing
  • Conduct radiation testing
  • System level testing design and execution
  • Ensure data acquisitions systems capture relevant telemetry
  • Work with software team to develop firmware
  • Grow and manage the propulsion power processing unit (PPU) team
