Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree and three years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment or field, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Ability to advise and support graduate business students through academic coaching, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and interpretation of university and program policies.
  • Ability to monitor and manage student academic progress, degree completion, probation, off-track status, withdrawals, enrollment adjustments, and graduation readiness.
  • Ability to develop and deliver proactive student communications through presentations, office hours, newsletters, and targeted outreach.
  • Ability to collaborate with faculty, internal departments, and university partners to support program operations, classroom logistics, and student success initiatives.
  • Ability to support program budgets and financial processes, including expenditures, disbursements, reimbursements, and approvals.
  • Ability to create, document, and improve operational processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, service-focused environment.
  • Professionalism, cultural awareness, adaptability, discretion, confidentiality, and effective communication with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to perform the physical activities of the role, including extended sitting and keyboarding, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 25 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Advise and support immersion and online graduate business students through academic coaching, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and interpretation of university and program policies.
  • Monitor and manage student academic progress, including degree completion, probation, off-track status, withdrawals, enrollment adjustments, and graduation readiness.
  • Oversee student administrative processes and records, including registration, the interactive Plan of Study, CPT trainings, and academic tracking.
  • Develop and deliver proactive student communications through presentations, office hours, newsletters, and targeted outreach.
  • Plan and execute orientation, student engagement initiatives, leadership programming, and academic and signature events.
  • Collaborate with faculty, internal departments, and university partners to support program operations, classroom logistics, and student success initiatives.
  • Coordinate faculty and classroom support, including course material preparation and classroom operations.
  • Support program budgets and financial processes, including expenditures, disbursements, reimbursements, and approvals.
  • Create, document, and improve operational processes and procedures to enhance program effectiveness and the student experience.
  • Serve as a key resource for student services within the college and university and represent the W. P. Carey School of Business on committees and collaborative initiatives.
  • Work occasional extended hours, including evenings and weekends, and travel in-state or out-of-state as needed for program responsibilities and events.

  • A master's degree in education, business, or a related field.

  • Experience working with and supporting diverse and international student populations.
  • Experience coordinating events, programs, or student engagement initiatives.
  • Experience delivering presentations, workshops, or student trainings.
  • Experience managing projects, timelines, and operational processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and collaborative technology tools.
  • Familiarity with student information systems such as PeopleSoft and learning management systems such as Canvas.
  • Experience composing, editing, and proofreading professional communications.
  • Experience working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Initiative and the ability to take ownership of assigned programs and initiatives.
