Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology/Genetics or Master’s degree/Ph.D. in Biology/Genetics
  • 7+ years of commercial (sales/marketing/business development) experience or equivalent experience within a laboratory setting plus customer facing experience
  • Experience with capital equipment sales
  • Strong genetics and molecular biology foundation
  • Deep knowledge and relationships with decision makers/influencers and leading researchers in the sequencing and spatial biology community
  • Ability to conduct presentations effectively and professionally to customers/peers/management
Responsibilities
  • Develop a strong understanding of Element technology
  • Establish and execute strategies for obtaining new customers and maintaining/growing existing customer accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals
  • Take an analytical approach towards executing optimal solutions for an issue or opportunity
  • Demonstrate capability to present versatile and unique solutions during customer negotiations
  • Learn, change, and gain from each experience to become more effective in subsequent sales scenarios
  • Work effectively in a team environment to drive and create revenue opportunities
  • Manage customer relationships post-sale, including a strategy to develop long term business relationships
Desired Qualifications
  • Preferred knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing and Genotyping method
  • Experience with strategic sales skills with proven ability to develop and grow key accounts
