Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Relevant natural gas or energy industry experience is required.
  • At least 5 years of total related experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license and driver's abstract are required.
  • Candidates must successfully complete pre-employment medical screening, including drug and alcohol testing.
  • Candidates must travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings, or training, estimated at up to 50% of the work schedule.
  • Candidates must participate in an on-call rotation and provide emergency support as required.
  • Candidates must have legal authorization to work in Canada without restrictions.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure facilities and personnel comply with TC Energy’s Community, Safety and Environment policies and procedures and accepted risk standards.
  • Perform routine measurement maintenance.
  • Perform inspections related to valve servicing, troubleshooting, and repair, including actuators, valves, and related components.
  • Perform OneCall activities and line locates and assist with all types of line crossings of TC Energy assets.
  • Identify and manage encroachment issues.
  • Perform emergency repairs to meet customer and client needs.
  • Oversee the safe and efficient completion of projects.
  • Provide oversight of contractors.
  • Procure resources and manage facility budgets.
  • Provide support to business partners as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • A journeyman ticket in Instrumentation or 2 years of technical training from a recognized institution.
  • Previous experience working with high-pressure natural gas.
  • Previous experience with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of valves and actuators.
  • Previous experience with line locating.
  • Experience with SAP.

Qube secures funding from TC Energy and NGIF to scale emissions monitoring tech across oil, gas, and biogas sectors

Qube Technologies, a Calgary-based emissions monitoring company, has closed a funding round led by existing investor TC Energy, with participation from NGIF Capital and other strategic investors. The capital will support deployment of Qube's expanded product portfolio across multiple industries. The funding follows record revenue growth in 2025, during which Qube expanded beyond oil and gas into biogas, landfill and mining sectors. The company achieved regulatory validation from the US Environmental Protection Agency and became the first continuous monitoring dataset accepted for Level 5 OGMP reporting. Qube recently launched two new products: Qube Lite, a cost-effective fenceline technology for source-level deployment, and Qube Camera, providing real-time visual confirmation and leak localisation. Both have seen immediate high-volume demand from operators seeking to reduce manual site inspections whilst managing emissions.
