Requirements
  • Consultative selling experience via designs, blueprints, architecture frameworks, systems or products (the solutions) to align them to the customer's desired business outcomes.
  • Knowledge of Professional Services business and ideally a Delivery background working with strategic customers. Industry specific expertise for contextualizing solutions to the vertical.
  • Deep understanding of Security market, Security frameworks / standards and experience in selling security solutions.
  • Proficiency in German and ideally German citizenship.
Responsibilities
  • Hunt for deals, aligning activities with Service Sales teams for Cisco's Lifecycle selling and transformational opportunities.
  • Influence the shaping of future solutions by contributing to the architecture used across multiple products or systems.
  • Co-lead the pre-sales solution architecture and introduce the overall technical vision for a particular solution to stakeholders.
  • Lead CX RFP/RFIs for your selected accounts.
  • Build, evaluate and implement plans and design proposals for high impact solutions; consider key factors such as their long-term effectiveness (service delivery and cost), practicality, technical limitations and criticality.
  • Demonstrate a cross-architecture approach in solutions development with mid to high level technical expertise to create journey maps and multi-year roadmaps.
  • Focus on pre-sales architecture activities and ensuring a follow-thru with post-sales architects; Become the bridge to ensure the scoped solution is delivered.
Desired Qualifications
  • ONEx Technology Blue Belt or similar technical certification or equivalent skills.
  • Excellent executive level communication and presentation skills to simplify conveying the value of underlying sophisticated solutions.
  • Be able to work and follow Agile methodology.

Cisco acquires Galileo to strengthen Splunk's AI observability capabilities

Cisco is acquiring Galileo, an AI observability specialist, to strengthen Splunk's position in the AI monitoring market. The deal is expected to close in July 2026. Galileo provides tools to evaluate AI output quality, detect errors before they reach users, and improve AI agent behaviour in production. The platform monitors hallucinations, bias, security risks and cost metrics across the entire agent development lifecycle, offering real-time observability for multi-agent systems. The acquisition will integrate Galileo into Splunk Observability Cloud, expanding existing AI agent monitoring capabilities. Galileo offers over 20 evaluation metrics including hallucination detection and supports major AI platforms like OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI and AWS Bedrock. Cisco and Galileo previously collaborated on Cisco's AGNTCY initiative. Both companies will operate independently until the deal closes.

Cisco appoints former Deloitte executive Pete Shimer to board of directors
