The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the development and implementation of new and existing programs in coordination with the Business Control team and Operations. The responsibility will also to complete break/fix analysis of existing Control Testing reporting. The overall objective of this role is the programming of control testing reports using SAS/SQL programming language in Unix, mainframe, and SAS EG/Grid environments. This role also requires Taking business requirements and coding a report to match business intent, validate the report with the requestors and then hand off for production as well as maintenance on existing reports.

- Adhere to formalized development and communication processes throughout the report life cycle
- Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes
- Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Effectively change his/her communication style to suit different audiences
- Self-manage his/her workload including multiple reports and report updates:
- Effectively planning their daily work activities
- Setting realistic deadlines and targets
- Communicating those deadlines and targets to key stakeholders
- Adhering to deadlines/targets by adjusting their efforts as needed
- Capacity to overcome complex data/programming challenges in a timely manner including leveraging peers and leaders
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or 4+ years equivalent relevant experience in a reporting and/or analytical capacity
- Advanced SAS and SQL experience (Unix and Mainframe)
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and work independently with users to define concepts or under direction of project managers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements

$107,120.00 - $160,680.00
