Requirements
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience providing facilities and administrative office support, including at least 2 years supporting executives.
  • An associate or bachelor's degree in business administration, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Reliable transportation to support a fully on-site schedule and errands outside the office.
  • Previous exposure to event planning and management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially calendar management in Outlook.
  • Ability to navigate new software tools such as Slack, Confluence, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments and complex multi-phase projects.

Responsibilities
  • Run daily office operations for the Herndon, Virginia location.
  • Manage front-desk operations in a cleared facility and ensure visitors, contractors, and staff follow access and security protocols.
  • Ensure the office workspace and common areas are clean, safe, and organized.
  • Greet visitors and complete the guest registration process.
  • Receive and distribute mail, package shipments, and deliveries.
  • Order and maintain stocks of drinks, snacks, and office supplies.
  • Receive and distribute voicemails sent to the main company line.
  • Coordinate with the Manager of Facilities and Administrative Operations on facilities, vendors, and maintenance issues.
  • Coordinate internal operational systems, including employee keycards and facilities access.
  • Host candidates during in-office interviews and customers or partners during tours.
  • Plan and attend local company events.
  • Run errands to support events and activities using reliable transportation.
  • Clear all whiteboards at the end of each day.
  • Coordinate catering, including ordering, setup, and takedown.
  • Create and maintain office reference materials covering visitor processes and ensure adherence to guidelines.
  • Provide calendar support to the executive team as needed.
  • Process complex expense reports accurately.
  • Coordinate workspace seating assignments, office moves, and desk setups to support organizational changes.
  • Monitor and maintain office equipment, including printers, appliances, and audiovisual systems, and coordinate repairs or replacements.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

BlackSky to provide satellites for world's largest AI space infrastructure in $1B initiative

BlackSky Technology has been named the exclusive provider of very high-resolution electro-optical satellites for a new international space initiative. The announcement was made at the International Space Summit in Paris alongside French President Emmanuel Macron. The project involves a 50-satellite constellation developed under a $1 billion investment led by a consortium including Marlan Space, Loft Orbital, Mistral AI, and other space leaders in the UAE and France. BlackSky Technology CEO Brian O'Toole sold 15,512 shares of common stock on 10 June 2026 for approximately $529,000, according to an SEC filing. The shares were sold at $34.10 each, above the day's opening price of $31.38 and closing price of $31.79. The transaction reduced O'Toole's direct holdings by 1.3%, leaving him with substantial ownership valued at $36.2 million based on the closing price. The sale represents one of O'Toole's larger transactions but fits within his established selling pattern, marking his fourth sale since March 2025. BlackSky Technology provides geospatial intelligence and satellite imagery services to government and commercial clients. The company reported $97.81 million in trailing twelve-month revenue and employs 297 people.
