Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in the school's or program's area of specialty or a related field.
  • Five years of experience in student affairs, advising, registration, financial aid, or a related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills when providing information and responding to questions from students, faculty, staff, and the general public.
  • A high level of discipline, computer and office skills, database skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Professional demeanor, diplomacy, and tact in interactions with faculty and students.
  • Comfort and sensitivity when working with faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills in handling, directing, and prioritizing multiple and complex assignments and projects while maintaining records.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in coordinating one or more student academic functions for a school or program, such as admissions, financial aid, registration, or student placement.
  • Supervise clerical personnel as needed.
  • Track and certify all undergraduate business students, including dual BBA/MPA and BBA/MSBA students, for graduation during the summer, fall, and spring semesters.
  • Identify students ready to graduate.
  • Submit reports to the BBA Program Office on students failing degree requirements at established intervals.
  • Enter exceptions and substitutions in the Degree Tracker.
  • Confirm that all secondary majors in the college have been certified by the college.
  • Confirm that all students have submitted at least one area depth.
  • Confirm that all degree applications have been submitted to the University Registrar's Office.
  • Confirm that each student has met degree requirements for graduation.
  • Submit all required materials to the University Registrar's Office by published deadlines.
  • Maintain publication and marching lists for graduation.
  • Assist with the daily functions of the GBS Registrar's Office by tracking documents, maintaining student records, retrieving and storing important departmental records, developing standard operating procedures, and providing feedback.
  • Manage the GBS Registrar Inbox.
  • Manage the scheduling and utilization of academic facility space and enforce associated policies.
  • Oversee and maintain the comprehensive degree audit system for all undergraduate programs, including dual BBA/MPA and BBA/MSBA programs.
  • Update and maintain the annual GBS Master Schedule.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports for accrediting bodies, colleges, and program offices on an ongoing basis.
  • Develop work plans to accomplish department goals and objectives and monitor progress toward their achievement.
  • Run Continuance and Dean's List reports at the end of each semester for all programs.
  • Coordinate the collection of grades at the end of each class or session with the Business Analyst, in line with GBS grading policies.
  • Provide registration support during enrollment periods for all programs.
  • Monitor expenditures and participate in departmental budget planning as needed.
  • Support the entry of transfer credits and waivers for all programs, with a focus on undergraduate programs.
  • Conduct training, represent the department at meetings, and network with affiliated groups and programs.
  • Perform related responsibilities as required.
