Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience is required.
  • The candidate must be licensed or registered if required by the state.
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services and evaluating customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to perform basic and intermediate mathematical calculations.
  • Basic-level skill in Microsoft Word, including opening documents, editing and formatting text, changing margins and column width, sorting, inserting bullets and pictures, using find and replace, undo, spell check, track changes, review pane, and print functions.
  • Basic-level skill in Microsoft Excel, including opening workbooks, inserting rows and columns, formatting cells as currency, copying, pasting and saving, aligning text, renaming worksheets, inserting charts and worksheets, setting margins, selecting page orientation, spell check, and printing worksheets.
  • Basic-level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint, including inserting, rearranging, hiding, and deleting slides, navigating between slides, increasing list level, editing text, changing views, inserting tables or notes, moving objects, printing outline view, and running slide shows.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, and reach frequently, and carry at least 30 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the pharmacist with preparing and dispensing medications and supplies in accordance with Option Care Health policies and procedures and applicable state regulations and standards.
  • Prepare medications for accurate compounding.
  • Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct medication dosages.
  • Accurately label and package medications.
  • Participate in assessing, managing, and reporting medication-related incidents.
  • Clean and sanitize pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods.
  • Inspect equipment and document equipment failures or defects.
  • Assist with recording and maintaining pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Successful enrollment and completion of the Option Care Health designated training course within 6 months of hire if licensure and/or a training course is required by the state.
