Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Environmental Related Science (geology, hydrogeology, etc.) or other Major (chemistry, Project Management, Sustainability, etc.) with requisite experience.
  • The candidate shall have a minimum of eight (8) years of demonstrated experience working on all phases of challenging, multi-year, multi-media impacted site investigation and remedial projects. The candidate must be flexible to work on a wide range of projects (small to large) to meet the needs and dynamics of the program.
  • Direct experience with MGP sites, third party sites, PRP groups, and experience on PCB impacted sites and building demolition a considerable plus.
  • Direct experience working with state and/or federal regulatory agencies to resolve conflicts in professional opinions and finding agreeable approaches consistent with regulatory requirements.
  • Direct experience with large scale projects (scope and value), complex project settings and/or with dynamic stakeholder engagement.
  • Direct experience with contract review and coordinating contract documents for competitive bidding and working understanding of typical environmental SIR contractual terms & conditions.
  • Experience with environmental financial liability reporting.
  • Solid knowledge of environmental SIR technologies and applications, practices, strategies, trends, construction methods and environmental forensics of various media including soil, groundwater, bedrock, sediment and soil vapor.
  • Solid understanding and application of superfund (CERCLA), and Robust knowledge of primary work State environmental regulations is a must.
  • Experience with Consent Orders, Brownfield Programs, and multi-site programs and third-party sites and PRP groups a plus.
  • Experience with regulatory (rate case) proceedings and testimony.
  • Direct knowledge of relevant industry standards, guidance and regulations (state and federal) and regulatory trends and developments within the industry.
  • Strong understanding of Project Management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders from technical teams to upper management to town/city leaders to community members and residents.
  • Public presentation skills and ability to clearly summarize concepts and data.
  • Must demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence and understanding of the vital importance of personal accountability with an ability to render good technical & business decisions
  • Results & Team oriented.
  • Ability to adapt to changing scopes and requirements, and flexibility to take on new assignments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Office, Teams.
Responsibilities
  • Self-directs in the day-to-day project planning and execution of SIR projects (i.e., site identification, conceptual development and planning, implementation, including regulatory interface and negotiation).
  • Manages contractors (professional consultants, contractors, technical experts, etc.) performing services. Sets milestones and direction to align with project needs to accomplish goals and regulatory commitments.
  • Proactive approach to overseeing work, measures progress and takes actions to ensure projects are delivered safely, within scope, on time and within agreed upon budgets.
  • Reviews and approves project plans, executes contract strategies to undertake work and controls and authorizes expenditures. Follows internal purchasing procedures to procure external vendors.
  • Participates in site investigation scoping and engineering design review and planning meetings.
  • Review consultant technical / cost proposals to ensure cost effectiveness and responsiveness to the project needs.
  • Conducts thorough review of consultant deliverables including, correctness, accuracy, format, clarity of narrative and overall presentation of the data and information.
  • Resolves field challenges during investigation and remediation work.
  • Responsible for project budget management and proactively forecasts potential changes due to site/project conditions and informs management.
  • Coordinates work with other departments, consultants, attorneys, utilities, regulatory agencies, government agencies, and customers.
  • Develop and implement outreach and communication approaches with internal and external stakeholders including negotiating and influencing agreements with third parties such as property owners, municipalities, state and county agencies.
  • Maintains project liability estimates throughout the project life cycle for financial reporting.
  • Leads, supports and/or participates in regulatory inquiries and proceedings (rate cases).
  • Represent the company in regulatory and public forums (i.e., Federal, State or local agency or municipal meetings).
  • Interfaces with various stakeholders including municipal officials and representatives, local permitting agencies, state and federal agency staff and leaders, internal team members, managers, legal, vendors, community members, etc.
  • Supports programmatic initiatives, activities and enhancements.
  • Coaches and supports Remediation staff in their growth, knowledge and understanding of regulations and field application of various technologies.
  • Perform other tasks and assignments as required, including but not limited to group/corporate initiatives, providing support for annual program reporting (Annual SIR Report) to the PSC and Rate Case documentation (spend projections, site write-ups, etc.).

Wallbox restructures $191.5M debt with Spanish banks as Catalan government takes stake

Wallbox, the Barcelona-based electric vehicle charging systems company, has closed a debt restructuring agreement worth €169.5 million with creditors representing over 83% of its financial debt. The deal includes a capital increase that will bring the Generalitat of Catalonia in as a shareholder. The agreement, pending judicial approval and scheduled for signing on 8 April, restructures existing debt into a €57.6 million framework loan and a €69.1 million bullet instrument, both maturing in December 2030. A working capital agreement of approximately €42.8 million was also reached. The restructuring includes a €10.65 million capital increase, with strategic shareholders contributing €5.65 million and the Generalitat adding €5 million. Participating banks will provide €12.5 million in new financing. CEO Enric Asunción said the agreement strengthens Wallbox's financial position.

Iberdrola's US arm reaches 11 GW capacity across 100 projects in 25 states

Avangrid, the US arm of Spanish utility Iberdrola, has reached over 11 gigawatts of installed generation capacity across nearly 100 projects in 25 states. The company said its expanding portfolio helps meet surging energy demand driven by data centres powering AI development, new manufacturing and electrification initiatives. Avangrid produced 25,058 gigawatt hours of electricity in 2025, making the US Iberdrola's second-largest market by net production after Spain. The generation comprised primarily onshore wind, cogeneration and solar. Avangrid's projects paid $61 million in local tax revenue in 2025. The US accounted for $15.6 billion of Iberdrola's total asset base at yearend 2025. Iberdrola reported €6.29 billion in net profit for 2025, up 12 per cent year-on-year.

Iberdrola files takeover bid to acquire 100% of Brazilian subsidiary Neoenergia at $5.72 per share

Iberdrola has officially registered documentation for a public takeover offer for all shares of its Brazilian subsidiary Neoenergia not currently controlled by the group. The acquisition price is set at 32.5 Brazilian reals per share, adjusted for official interest and dividends declared by Neoenergia. The documentation has been submitted to Brazil's securities regulator Comissão de Valores Mobiliários and stock exchange B3. The offer, announced on 24 November 2025, covers 16.2% of Neoenergia's share capital, which would give Iberdrola 100% ownership. Neoenergia, with 90% of its business focused on electricity networks, serves nearly 40 million Brazilians through five distribution companies across six states and 18 transmission lines, making it Brazil's largest distribution group by customer count.
