Requirements
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to pass the Snowshoe Driving Program are required.
  • The ability to work alone and handle a cabin in variable weather conditions is required.
  • The ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodations, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Organize and execute backcountry dinners and handle reservation needs.
  • Purchase and transport food, linens, alcohol, and drinks; manage supplies and personnel in variable trail conditions.
  • Shovel snow, clear walkways, perform basic hut maintenance including propane, water, and food preparation, and maintain the generator.
  • Delegate tasks during meals, manage evening cleanup, and handle alcohol sales at events.
  • Create memorable backcountry dining experiences, provide customer service, and address guest inquiries and concerns.
  • Engage with diverse guests using interpersonal skills.
  • Assist with tour scheduling and payment processing, and maintain accurate guest and tour records.
  • Stay informed on local regulations and best practices in outdoor recreation and educate guests on environmental conservation.
Desired Qualifications
  • Cooking experience.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and CPR/first aid certification.
  • Familiarity with local geography, trails, and conservation principles.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds.
