Your mission: Work with a platform team to provide a great user experience through essential and reliable systems.
This position is for you if you are self-sufficient with the ability to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and interface with customers and users alike. You will work closely with the customer to gather requirements for functional system and network solutions that solve mission needs and enhance user experience. A day in the life consists of:
- Supporting the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT and network systems
- Managing and supporting mission critical systems including: VMware, Cisco Route/Switch, Firewall Management and Saltstack
- Providing problem identification, diagnosis and resolution
- Managing IT systems operation from standard processes to problem identification and resolution for all connected client, server, storage, and network
- Monitoring and communicating the operational status of IT systems to customer management
- Optimizing system performance, operation, and resource utilization
- Providing detailed analysis and feedback to internal customers
- Configuring and managing systems
- Conducting/facilitating installs/loads of system software
- Maintaining a distributed set of nodes, taking into account rolling updates to avoid impacting mission load
- Maintaining the integrity of network components
- Implementing enhancements to improve reliability and performance
What technical knowledge we are expecting from you:
- Strong VMware skills are most desirable
- Working with Hardware/Desktop support including Thin Client networking & administration
- Active or current TS/SCI Polygraph clearance
- Experience with Cisco, Dell, and Juniper products

- No Degree + 15 Years
