Requirements
  • A minimum of five years of related experience in a similar position is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and OneDrive, and other department-specific systems is required.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills are required.
  • Experience in proofreading and editing is required.
  • A strong client-service approach and the ability to respond promptly and positively to unexpected requests are required.
  • The ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems and escalate appropriately with a solution-oriented approach is required.
  • The ability to process detailed information accurately using specific approaches and tools for checking outputs is required.
  • The ability to prioritize and multitask across multiple concurrent tasks supporting Managing Directors and team members is required.
  • The ability to learn new technologies and become proficient with day-to-day systems is required.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform administrative duties for assigned Managing Directors and support the Real Estate Investments team, including calendar management, agenda planning, meetings, appointments, conferences, and electronic filing.
  • Schedule and manage complex travel arrangements for the Real Estate Investments team in accordance with internal policies and itineraries.
  • Coordinate meetings and videoconference calls with internal and external stakeholders and circulate required documents.
  • Prepare expense reports for Managing Directors and assist team members with finalization and validation of reports.
  • Maintain the Managing Directors’ contact database and update contact lists regularly.
  • Enter contacts into the customer relationship management system DealCloud, input data, and prompt Managing Directors to maintain regular usage.
  • Develop an internal network to support progress and delivery on matters arising with an appropriate level of autonomy.
  • Create and maintain filing systems.
  • Understand relevant corporate policies and ensure their appropriate application.
  • Relay requests for action or information to the appropriate team members.
  • Lead event planning for the Montreal Real Estate Investments team.
  • Assist team members with ad hoc requests to facilitate their work.
  • Cover for other Administrative Assistants during vacation periods.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree is an asset.
  • Experience in a financial or professional environment is preferred.
  • Experience with Concur and travel agency providers is an asset.

Air Canada unlocks $2.5B from Aeroplan in 25% stake sale to Blackstone and Canadian institutions

Air Canada is selling a 25% stake in its Aeroplan loyalty programme to an investor group led by Blackstone and La Caisse for $2.5 billion, valuing the programme at $10 billion. The airline will retain 75% ownership and full operational control. Air Canada plans to use the proceeds to repay a US$1.2 billion debt maturity and fund share buybacks, including an $800 million substantial issuer bid expected to complete in September. The investor group also includes PSP Investments and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation. Air Canada retains the right to repurchase the investors' stake between the fifth and eighth anniversaries of the transaction. The investment is scheduled to settle on 17 August 2026.

ADIA, PSP Investments buy $16.3M stake in SG Mart as shares rise 5%

Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and PSP Investments acquired a combined 1.68% stake in SG Mart for ₹138 crore on 14 July. ADIA purchased 11.23 lakh shares (0.89% stake) for approximately ₹72.99 crore at ₹650 per share, whilst PSP Investments bought 10 lakh shares (0.79% stake) for ₹64.99 crore at ₹649.98 per share. The building materials solutions provider's shares rose 5% to close at ₹654.15 on the National Stock Exchange following the transaction. The institutional buying coincided with HR Global Manufacturing's exit, which sold a 1.74% stake worth ₹143 crore. HR Global subsequently acquired shares in Yatharth Hospital & Trauma Care Services for ₹40.73 crore, suggesting portfolio rebalancing rather than concerns about SG Mart's fundamentals.
