Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • 5 years engineering experience or 3 with an advanced degree
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Lead in the resolution of mechanical engineering problems of difficult and complex scope, seeking a balanced system solution, and ensuring engineering excellence
  • Establish and maintain trust with internal and external customers by executing tasks with robust technical solutions
  • Generate development hardware design solutions that meet the system metrics and the objectives of the test engines and facilitate the delivery of the development hardware to the test engines on schedule
  • Review and approval of product definition data (prints and models)
  • Utilize standard work and CORE tools to continuously improve the design process
  • This position may require up to 10% travel.
Desired Qualifications
  • Understanding of hardware, blueprints, dimensions & tolerances, and manufacturing methods.
  • Experience with GD&T ASME Y14.5M 1994 or 2018
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a consistent record of collaboration, innovation, and initiative
  • Experience with MS Office products
  • Gas Turbine Augmentor and/or Exhaust experience
  • Proficiency in Teamcenter, Siemens NX, ANSYS, and classical methods of analysis
  • Experience with Model-Based Design, Manufacture and Inspection (MB-DMI)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and deadlines
  • Understanding of Agile project management principles and experience working within an agile framework
